Hi Reader Hello lovely people! Welcome to the new year!! Today is my first day back at school and at work after the holiday break. I am starting with my beginning of the month planning. If you are looking for a new planning routine, I wrote all about what I’m doing right now in this blog: 1st of the Month Routine for Homeschooling Solopreneur in 2024. What I'm Working On This Week: For work this week, I am focusing on completing my VIP Day Certification requirements. As a part of this I’ve been testing a new CRM (Customer Relationship Management) called Moxie. Previously, I’ve used Dubsado as my CRM. I’ve always liked Dubsado because it is so customizable but disliked it because everything just seems built backward to how I think it should be. So I am always on the lookout for a CRM that is more intuitive to me and significantly easier to set up for my clients. Enter Moxie. So far I’m really liking how intuitive it is to set up. I’ve got my meeting schedulers set up and in testing on my website. I also have created a few email templates, all of my invoice templates, a few project templates, and started building out my new client portal. The only sticking points I had so far were kind of my own fault. When testing the scheduler, I made a test page on my website. I added a code block to embed the Moxie scheduler and it didn’t show up when I saved and exited the editor. The fix: delete the Dubsado scheduler above it that was conflicting with the Moxie code. Voila! It’s there now and so far working perfectly. The other problem I had was my custom webpage not showing up in the client portal. I finally figured out it was because I was still logged into the Squarespace editor. As soon as I logged off, my client portal integration worked. Today, I will be working on all the finishing touches to my client portal and getting the remaining email templates in place to do a test run VIP Day. Wish me luck! I’d love to know if you have used Moxie and any thoughts or tips you may have. Hit reply and let me know! Cheers, When you are ready here’s three ways we can help:

Hi Reader There comes a point with an upcoming move that my priorities start to shift. My energy goes from planning and preparing to very actively doing. This happened a few weeks ago and the reason I’ve been in your inbox a bit less. It means my energy is going toward sorting, packing, selling, and donating. It means that my house feels like a disaster as we thoughtfully purge. Every move has challenges, so far this one for me is making myself mentally and physically available to help all...
Hi Reader I’ve been slowly working on this online business dream for years in the little moments and occasionally the wee hours of the night. Next to parenting, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It undoes me at times. It's made me reach down deep into my fears, things I didn’t even know I was afraid of and figure out how to take messy action and be ok with it being messy. One of the things I’ve done to help get clarity in how to move forward is to be a part of a mastermind group. So far...
Hi Reader I’ve been thinking more about aging as my 50th birthday approaches in a little over a month. When I was younger, I was a star athlete. I did gymnastics, ran track, played volleyball and basketball. In college, I took enough dance classes to get a minor (but they didn’t offer one). But motherhood, homeschooling, starting an online business, and the stress of frequent moves and of adulting have undone so much of this early foundation. I’ve been consistently inconsistent and plagued by...
